Get married because Nikah (Marriage) is Sunnah

Get married----Nikah (Marriage) is Sunnah(way, tradition) of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W- Peace be upon him)

Since family is the basic unit of society, Islam lays great emphasis on the family system and its values. The basis of family is marriage. Islam prescribes rules to regulate family life so that both the spouses can live in tranquility, security and love.

Allah says in Quran

(ومن آياته أن خلق لكم من أنفسكم أزواجا لتسكنوا إليها وجعل بينكم مودة ورحمة إن في ذلك لآيات لقوم يتفكرون):

“And among His Signs is this that He created for you mates (spouses) of your own kind (from among yourself) ,so that you may dwell (live) in tranquility(satisfaction) with them, and He has put love and mercy for one another: Surely in that are Signs for those who reflect(wise people).” (Quran 30:21)

Marriage is one of the most important acts of worship in Islam.Marriage in Islam has aspects of `ibadah (worship) of Allah (God) in the sense that it is in accordance with His commandments that a husband and wife should love and help each other and rear their children to become true servants of Allah (God).Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu layhi Wasallam) has told us how to live as a Muslim, and one of the branches of faith is marriage. It has been thus narrated in a Hadeeth of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) :

"When a man marries, he has fulfilled half of his religion, so let him fear Allah regarding the remaining half." ( Marriage quotation from Bayhqi)

Allah gives a clear order in the Qur'an:

Marry off those amongst you who are not married (single or people who don't have a spoue) and marry those who are capable of marrying from your male and female slaves. If they are poor (then don't worry) Allah will enrich them out of His grace, Allah (God) is ample giving and All-knowing) . And let those who find not the financial means for marriage keep themselves chaste, until Allah enriches them of His Bounty

(Chapter 24 Sura Noor, Verse 32-33)

Hadhrat 'Abdullah رضي الله عنه narrates that:

"We were with the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) صلي الله عليه و سلم while we were young and had no wealth whatsoever. So Prophet Muhammad صلي الله عليه و سلم said,

"O young people! Whoever amongst you can marry, should marry, because it helps him lower his gaze (looks) and guard his modesty (Nikah is safer for your private parts because Nikah prevents a person from doing zina i.e adultery-fornication), and whoever is not able to marry, should fast, as fasting is a shield for him (from desires)." (Sahih Muslim, Sahih al-Bukhari)

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) also said:

“Nikah (marriage) is my Sunna (tradtion). He who shuns (avoids, rejects) my Sunna is not of me.” (Muslim)

Prophet Muhammad (S) considered simple weddings the best weddings:

'The best wedding is that upon which the least trouble and expense is bestowed". (Mishkat)

Narrated Anas bin Malik:

Once Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) saw some women and children coming from a wedding party. He got up energetically and happily and said, “By Allah! You (i.e., the Ansar) are the most beloved of all people to me.”

The Book of Wedlock & Marriage -Sahih Bukhari – Book 7, Volume 62, Hadith 109

Nikah is a great bounty from Allah Ta'ala. The affairs of this world and the hereafter are put in order through marriage. There is a lot of wisdom and many benefits in marriage. A person saves himself from sinning and his heart is put at ease. He does not have any evil intentions and his thoughts do not begin to wander and stray. The greatest virtue is that there are only benefits and only rewards in this virtuos act. This is because a husband and wife’s sitting together and engaging in a loving conversation, joking with each other, etc. is better than nafl salat.

Islamic teachings for the selection of a spouse

In islam, Taqwa (piety) of a person is the primary criteria that must be considered while selecting a spouse .As the best of all leaders, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) knew his community well and understood that there are very real considerations that must be taken into account when selecting a spouse. Therefore, the most comprehensive advice given regarding the choice of a spouse is the teaching of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) who said, on the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him),

"A woman is married for four things: her wealth, her family status, her beauty, and her religion. So you should marry the religious(righteous and pious) woman (otherwise) you will be losers." (Al-Bukhari, Book 62, hadith 27).

A Poor Pious Man is a Better Marriage Suitor than a Rich Man Who is Not Pious

Hadith - Bukhari 7.28, Narrated Sahl

A man passed by Allah's Apostle and Allah's Apostle asked (his companions) "What do you say about this (man)?"

They replied, "If he asks for a lady's hand, he ought to be given her in marriage; and if he intercedes (for someone) his intercessor should be accepted; and if he speaks, he should be listened to."

Allah's Apostle kept silent, and then a man from among the poor Muslims passed by, an Allah's Apostle asked (them) "What do you say about this man?"

They replied, "If he asks for a lady's hand in marriage he does not deserve to be married, and he intercedes (for someone), his intercession should not be accepted; And if he speaks, he should not be listened to." Allah's Apostle corrected the companions and said,

"This poor man is better than so many of the first as filling the earth."

Hadith - Al-Tirmidhi #3090, Narrated Abu Hurairah, r.a.

Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, 'When someone with whose religion and character you are satisfied asks your daughter in marriage, accede to his request. If you do not do so, there will be temptation on Earth and extensive corruption.' [Tirmidhi, Nasa'i and Ibn Majah]
Sayyiduna Ali ibn Abi Talib (Radhiallaahu Anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, ‘Three things should not be delayed; The Salaat when it’s time has set in, the Janaaza Salaat when the deceased is prepared and present and the marriage of an unwedded woman when her Kufu (match) is found.’ (Tirmidhi; Mustadrak Hakim vol.2 pg.162)Imam Haakim and Haafiz al-Dhahabi have graded this Hadith as Sahih (authentic).

May Allah grant us grace to follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) and give us spouse whom Allah loves. Amen

Dua for happiness and success in marriage

The Importance of a good wife to her husband (and of course vice versa) is Great to Allah (SWT). Nothing can illustrate the point better than the Qur'anic statement which describes the righteous people as those who pray:

وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

"Rabba-na hab la-na min azwaji-na wa dhuriyyati-na qurrata a'yunin wa aj'al-na li al muttaqin imama"

"Our Lord! make our spouse and children the joy of our eyes, and make us Leaders of God fearing people” Sura 25-Al-Furqan Verse 74

May Allah give all believing men and women, married or looking to marry, the towfeeq (grace) to be the ideal Muslim husband and the ideal Muslim wife with His Divine help and guidance.

“Why does the Tabligh Jamaat go mostly to Muslims?”

“Why does the Tabligh Jamaat go mostly to Muslims?”
Why does Tabligh Jamaat preach, teach, talk, and walk amongst mostly Muslims. Firstly, many times the Tabligh Jamaat because of their conspicuous nature have to work and give Da'wah to non- Muslims. This happens at bus stops, railway platforms, airport areas and on the road.

Secondly, when someone is doing well in accordance to the Shari'ah, then allow them to carry on. No one is stopping one from giving Da'wah to non-Muslims provided one knows the Shar'i requirements and perimeters for this important responsibility. Thirdly, in the Shari'ah we have many examples to prove that teaching, learning and advising Muslims was done.

1. Allaah instructs reminding because reminding is beneficial for the Muslims: Allaah says:

"Continue advising because advice is beneficial for the Mu'mineen." {Surah Dhaariyaat, verse 55}

"So advise because advice is beneficial." {Surah A'la, verse 9}
"The Mu'mineen men and the Mu'mineen women are supporters (helpers, protectors) of each other. They command (others and each other to do) good, prevent evil, establish Salaah, pay Zakaah and obey Allaah and His Rasool . These are the ones on whom Allaah shall soon shower mercy. Verily Allaah is Mighty, The Wise." {Surah Taubah, verse 71}

From here it is clear that the reminding, advising, admonishing is done by Muslims for Muslims.

2. The gathering of Muslims at Darul Arqam for learning, teaching, advising and practising was done by Muslims, for Muslims. Here the Ameer was none other than Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam.

3. The sending of Hadhrat Mus'ab bin Umayr Radiyallahu Anhu to Madinah to teach Muslims.

4. The sending of Hadhrat Mu’aadh bin Jabal Radiyallahu Anhu to Yemen, as a governor, guide and teacher for the Muslims.

5. Hadhrat Abdullaah bin Mas’ood Radiyallahu Anhu narrated Ahadeeth once or twice a week to those gathered in Masjid e Nabawi.

6. Hadhrat Abu Hurayrah Radiyallahu Anhu used to stand near the mimbar (pulpit) of Masjid e Nabawi once a week and narrate Ahadeeth.

7. Hadhrat Tameem Daari Radiyallahu Anhu used to narrate Ahadeeth before the Jumu'ah Khutba every Jumu'ah.6 (From this one we prove also that the lecture is given prior to Jumuah Khutba in many countries).

8. Hadhrat Umar Radiyallahu Anhu sent Hadhrat Abu Dardaa Radiyallahu Anhu to Shaam to teach
the Qur'aan and Sunnah to the people.

9. The Mufassireen, Muhadditheen and the Ustaads in all Darul Ulooms as well as the Mashaa'ikh in Khanqahs teach, study, educate, advise and admonish Muslims.

10. Rasulullaah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam once dispatched a group of six Sahabah Radiyallahu Anhum to teach the people of a tribe that had accepted Islaam. These Sahabah Radiyallahu Anhum were however waylaid at a place called Raj'ee.

11. There is a Hadith in which states, ”convey, perhaps the listener understands more than the speaker” This also refers to Muslims to Muslims. The Muhaaditheen (scholars and compilers of Ahadeeth themselves state that although they are compilers, the ‘fuqahaa’ (jurists) understand the meaning in greater depths.

12. There is an extremely important Hadith which states "convey from me, even if it be an Aayat”
This is so general that Muslim and non-Muslims can be inferred there from.

13. This single Hadith is sufficient to relate most, if not all objections regarding Dawat and Tabligh.

What about my Creator?

After performing Salat Al Maghrib, she put on her make-up, wore her beautiful white dress preparing herself for her wedding party, Then she heard the Adhan of ‘Ishaa and she realized that she broke her Wudu...she told her mother:

“Mother, I have to go to make wudu and pray ‘Ishaa”

Her mother was shocked: “Are you crazy?!! Guests are waiting for you, to see u! what about your make –up? It will be all washed away by water!!” then she added
” I am your mother and I order you not to perform salah now! Wallahi if you make wudu now, I will be angry at you”

Her daughter replied : ”Wallahi I won’t go out from here till I perform my salah! Mother you must know that, 'There is no obedience to any creature in disobedience to the Creator!'

Her mother said:”What would our guests say about you when you'll show up in ur wedding party without make-up?! You won’t be beautiful in their eyes! and They will make fun of you!”

The daughter asked with a smile: ”Are you worried because I won’t be beautiful in the eyes of created beings? What about my Creator?! I am worried because, if I miss my salah, I won’t be beautiful in His eyes!”

She started to make wudu, and all her make-up was washed away, but she didn’t care...

Then she began her salah and at the moment she bowed down to make sujud, she didn’t realize that it will be her last one!
Yes! She died while in sujud!

What a great ending for a Muslimah who insisted on obeying her Lord!! She put Him and His obedience first in her priorities, so He granted her the best ending that any Muslim would have! She wanted to be closer to Him, so He took her soul in the place where a Muslim is the closest to Him!

May Allah guide us all to do what pleases Him and grant everyone who is reading these lines, a good ending, Ameen!

Beautiful Dua

As salamu alwikum wr wb,

Allaahumma 'Anta Rabbee laa 'ilaaha 'illaa 'Anta, khalaqtanee wa 'anaa 'abduka, wa 'anaa 'alaa 'ahdika wa wa'dika mas-tata'tu, 'a'oothu bika min sharri maa sana'tu, 'aboo'u laka bini'matika 'alayya, wa 'aboo'u bithanbee faghfir lee fa'innahu laa yaghfiruth-thunooba 'illaa 'Anta.

O Allah, You are my Lord, there is none worthy of worship but You. You created me and I am your slave. I keep Your covenant, and my pledge to You so far as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I admit to Your blessings upon me, and I admit to my misdeeds. Forgive me, for there is none who may forgive sins but You.

Whoever recites this with conviction in the evening and dies during that night shall enter Paradise, and whoever recites it with conviction in the morning and dies during that day shall enter Paradise, (Al-Bukhari , An-Nasa'i and At-Tirmithi

Want to marry but not rich?

Allah says:

"Marry (Waankihoo) those among you who are single, or the virtuous ones among yourselves, male or female: if they are in poverty, Allah will give them means out of His grace: for Allah encompasseth all, and he knoweth all things."

[Surah 24:32]
These clear Ayat include a group of unambiguous rulings and firm commands.

﴿وَأَنْكِحُواْ الأَيَـمَى مِنْكُمْ﴾

(And marry those among you who are single (Al-Ayama)....) This is a command to marry. The Prophet said:

«يَا مَعْشَرَ الشَّبَابِ، مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ مِنْكُمُ الْبَاءَةَ فَلْيَتَزَوَّجْ، فَإِنَّهُ أَغَضُّ لِلْبَصَرِ وَأَحْصَنُ لِلْفَرْجِ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ فَعَلَيْهِ بِالصَّوْمِ فَإِنَّهُ لَهُ وِجَاءٌ»

(O young men, whoever among you can afford to get married, let him marry, for it is more effective in lowering the gaze and protecting the private parts. Whoever cannot do that, then let him fast, for it is a protection for him.) This was recorded in the Two Sahihs from the Hadith of Ibn Mas`ud. In the Sunan, it was recorded from more than one person that the Messenger of Allah said:

«تَزَوَّجُوا تَوَالَدُوا تَنَاسَلُوا فَإِنِّي مُبَاهٍ بِكُمُ الْأُمَمَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

(Marry and have children, for I will be proud of you before the nations on the Day of Resurrection.) The word Al-Ayama, the plural form of Ayyim, is used to describe a woman who has no husband and a man who has no wife, regardless of whether they have been married and then separated, or have never been married at all. Al-Jawhari reported this from the scholars of the (Arabic) language, and the word is applied to men and women alike.

﴿إِن يَكُونُواْ فُقَرَآءَ يُغْنِهِمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ﴾

(If they be poor, Allah will enrich them out of His bounty.) `Ali bin Abi Talhah reported from Ibn `Abbas: "Allah encouraged them to get married, commanded both free men and servants to get married, and He promised to enrich them.''

﴿إِن يَكُونُواْ فُقَرَآءَ يُغْنِهِمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ﴾

(If they be poor, Allah will enrich them out of His bounty.) It was recorded that Ibn Mas`ud said: "Seek the richness through marriage, for Allah says:

﴿إِن يَكُونُواْ فُقَرَآءَ يُغْنِهِمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ﴾

(If they be poor, Allah will enrich them out of His bounty.)'' This was recorded by Ibn Jarir. Al-Baghawi also recorded something similar from `Umar. It was reported from Al-Layth from Muhammad bin `Ajlan from Sa`id Al-Maqburi from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah said:

«ثَلَاثَةٌ حَقٌّ عَلَى اللهِ عَوْنُهُمْ: النَّاكِحُ يُرِيدُ الْعَفَافَ، وَالْمُكَاتَبُ يُرِيدُ الْأَدَاءَ، وَالْغَازِي فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ»

(There are three whom it is a right upon Allah to help: one who gets married seeking chastity; a slave who makes a contract with his master with the aim of buying his freedom; and one who fights for the sake of Allah.) This was recorded by Imam Ahmad, At-Tirmidhi, An-Nasa'i and Ibn Majah. The Prophet performed the marriage of a man who owned nothing but his waist wrap, and could not even buy a ring made of iron, but he still married him to that woman, making the Mahr his promise to teach her whatever he knew of the Qur'an. And it is known from the generosity and kindness of Allah that He provided him with whatever was sufficient for her and for him.

"If the prayer is started do not run...

Narrated Abu Huraira:

I heard Allah's Apostles (p.b.u.h) saying,
"If the prayer is started do not run for it but just walk for it calmly and pray whatever you get, and complete whatever is missed. "

Brothers, please learn from the above Hadith please. Often, in the Musjid, when the 'Jamaat' has started, the Imaam has lowered himself in the Ruku, you may find a brother who has just entered the Musjid, he is witnessing the Imaam lowering himself in the Ruku poisition with the namazee brothers behind him; and this brother feels just MUST catch the Ruku position so he doesn’t miss a Rakaat, and therefore you can hear him 'sprint' towards the row , 'thud thud' along the musjid floor, his distinguished sprint , just so that he doesn’t have to read another rakaat after the Jaamaat has finished!

Hence, please, take a chill pill, when you enter the Musjud and the Imaan is in the Ruku position; if you make it fine, but hey, don’t end up getting all flustered about it such that you need to all of sudden take a sprint! "
ZZZooooooooooooom !! "

And those overweight brothers, you don’t do yourself justice, because your sprint towards the line where we are all standing, all we can hear is you 'puffing and panting' when you do stand in line with the jaamat, trying to get a hold of your breath!... Not good brothers!

Take it easy. Salah is suppose a time for YOU to connect with Allah swt, to stand in front of your Creator, in awe and obedience, to deliver all the necessary actions of Salah in a manner of ease, lowering yourself gently into the Ruku, and then lowering yourself back and forward in ease , especially at Sajdah, where the servant of Allah swt is most closest to his Master, and he pauses in the Sajdah position for a 'dua' to be whispered from the very core of his heart.

Take it easy brothers, chill out and relax.. Salah is not a race, its a time to be in control of yourself, to take the Worldly burden off your shoulders and to spend time with Allah swt, a time which you cant imagine is essentially very very precious.

And Allah swt knows best.

Basic Islamic Hygiene, by Shaikh Saalih al-Fawzaan (hafidhahullaah)

Shaikh Saalih al-Fawzaan said:
[1]: Cleaning One's Teeth: Using the siwaak (2) is a highly recommend Sunnah. There are many aḥaadeeth that mention the Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) encouraged the use of the siwaak. The siwaak cleanses the mouth and removes foul odors. Usingit is from Islamic etiquette.
The Messenger of Allaah (salallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said: If it wasn't for the fact that I do not want to cause hardship on my nation, I would have ordered that the siwaak be used for every wuḍoo. [Bukhaaree]
[2]: Moisturizing One's Hair: It is recommended to moisturize one's hair every other day, just as the Messenger (salallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) would do. (3)
[3]: Looking at One's Self in the Mirror: It is recommended to look at one's self in the mirror when he finishes cleaning and beautifying himself. One looks in the mirror because there is a possibility that something needs to be adjusted or tweaked. Thus, one looks in the mirror before going out to meet people. This is the Sunnah. The Messenger of Allah (salallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) used to look in the mirror (4).
[4]: Using Delightful Fragrances (5): This is done because all of the Prophets did so. It is also done so that a person's scent is pleasant, not offensive. So, he applies fragrances when he generally goes to prayer, and specifically when he goes to Friday prayer (al-Jumu'ah). He also uses delightful fragrances in the circles of remembrance and when he goes to gatherings.
[5]: Shaving the Pubic Area: It is recommended to remove the hair from one's pubic area. This can be done by any means that serves the purpose. This is also from the ways of the Prophets.
[6]: Trimming the Mustache Closely: So, one does not let his mustache grow long. Likewise, he does not shave it completely because that is considered a form of disfigurement. He leaves its origin. This is because the Messenger (salallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam) did not command us to shave it completely; rather, he ordered us to trim it closely (6). This is a form of beautification for men.
[7]: Trimming One's Nails: From the way of the Prophet is to trim one's fingernails and toenails, they are not to be left long. Leaving them long is considered ugliness and a resemblance to predatory animals.
[8]: Removing One's Underarm Hair: One also removes the hair from his underarms by any means that serve the purpose. This is because leaving hair to grow under the arms is ugly, and it causes an unpleasant odor.

The kind of treatment and feed an animal receives during its life is important. It should be not be abused, mistreated or caused any pain. It should not be confined to an area where it cannot move or walk normally or get fresh air. It should be fed clean water and food that is appropriate and absolutely never fed another animal or products that contain the by-products of other animals.

The Sacrifice of the Animal

· As an animal should be treated well during its life, it should also be treated well at the time it is sacrificed for us.
· The slaughter should never be done in the presence of other animals and the animal should be made comfortable as it is positioned for the sacrifice.
· The act of the sacrifice should be done with a sharp object, so as to accelerate the process and reduce the pain suffered by the animal as much as possible.

Healthier Food
(Afterwords) the blood should be completely drained from the animal. It is the blood that carries toxins, germs and bacteria and when left inside the body of the animal, could potentially make people sick. At the very least, it could make the cooked meat quite tough. An amazing result of cooking and consuming halal meat is a healthy meat in which the resulting texture is tender and the meat delicious. Some people say they can “taste the difference”.

In short: Halal Food means to Non-Muslims
For an animal to go from farm to table as halal food, it must have lived a pure life from the very beginning, finishing a cycle of life that is permissible in accordance with Islamic standards. It must have eaten well, been treated well, and been sacrificed well.

Inviting Towards Allah And Conveying His Message

Allah SWT says:

By the time,
Verily! man is in loss,
except those who believe, and do good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth,
and recommend one another to the patience. Al- Asr 103: 1-3

Note: For salvation there are four essential requirements. 1. Iman, 2. Good Actions, 3. Recomending one another to the truth, 4. Recommending one another to patience.

In this Surah Muslims have been given very great guidence; Which is this, that just as it is necessary to correct ones's own Iman and Actions, so also it is equally important to struggle for the improvement of the Iman and actions of other Muslims. In particular one's immediate family and relatives. Correcting one's own personal Iman and actions is not enough. For this reason in the light of Quran and Hadith it is obligatory (Fard) to order to good and forbid evil to the extent of one's capacity. In this matter not only the ordinary Muslim but many religious Muslims are negligent and think that one's personal actions are sufficient; being totally in different to what their children and family do.

May Allah give all of us the strength to act on the guidence given in this Surah. Amiin.

(Ma'aariful Quran)

What is Tabligh?

Tabligh' is the work done by Muslims to call others to Allah. It is the same work that was done by the prophets and messengers (May Allah's peace upon them and His blessings), to their people like Nuh, Lut, Ibrahim, Ismail, Ishaaq, Yaqub, Musa, Isa, Muhammed, etc. (May Allah's peace be upon them all.) Since Muhammed (May Allah's peace upon him and His blessings) is the final prophet and messenger, it becomes a duty on every muslim to invite and call people to Allah.

Who is the founder of 'Tabligh'?

It is Abu AlQasim (May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), also known as Muhammed ibn Abdullah ibn Abdul Muttalib ibn Hashim, who is not the father of any man and the seal of the prophets. After receiving the messengership, Muhammed (May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) conveyed the message of truth to His companions (called the Sahabah), who then brought the message to the rest of the world. It is this work that is, by the grace of Allah, alive and active today. It is by their efforts, May Allah be pleased with them and have mercy upon them, that we are Muslims.

Who are the 'jamaat tabligh'?

It is a great Mercy from Allah (All glory is due to Him the Most High) that this work has been revived in many places throughout the world. It is also a great Mercy from Allah (All glory is due to Him the Most High) that people doing this effort are able to organize together and support and help each other out in doing this work.

The ways that are followed are what Allah has revealed in the Quran, and according to the traditions of Muhammed (May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him.)

It is inappropriate for people to call people that do this work as the 'jamaat tabligh'. It is out of ignorance, and the works of the shaitan, to divide the Muslims. The Muslims are one Ummah (Nation), and amongst them are some that are foremost in good works, some that wrong their souls, and some that follow a way between the two. It is every muslim's duty to convey the message given by Muhammadh (May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him). It is the responsibility of every Muslim to first convey the message to himself/herself, by learning more about Islam, then conveying the message to his/her family, and to the people around them.

What are the benefits?

First, Allah the One that controls all the events of this universe, makes the person's life much better. The Shaitan makes people think other things control the events that surround them. It is Allah that controls them. Allah, the One that Created this universe Certainly knows about it. Allah did not make this universe in randomness or in chaos. Everything happens for a reason. Allah created This universe, and all the events that occur in the HAQ (TRUTH). Of course a person that follows the guidance of Allah will be better off, and will not have any fear or grief. Allah will put the Barakah (blessings) in the persons life.

Also Allah has prepared a beautiful repayment for the people that strive in His way, in the Akhira (after life). The Akhira is far better than anything a person can achieve in this world's life. The Akhira (after life) also lasts much longer than this world's life. It is eternal.

The Sahabah before us made huge sacrifices for this effort; many of them sacrificed their whole life. It is appropriate for us to also make some sacrifices for conveying this message. Allah is well aware of all the things that people do, and Allah will repay everyone according to the efforts that they do.

Allah Commands us to do tabligh

Allah commands all of us to do tabligh. Allah says in the Quran:
061.014 O ye who believe! Be ye helpers of God: As said Jesus the son of Mary to the Disciples, "Who will be my helpers to (the work of) God?" Said the disciples, "We are God's helpers!" then a portion of the Children of Israel believed, and a portion disbelieved..

Allah makes this command to all the believers. We must be helpers of Allah and convey the message that Allah gave to His final messenger (May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him). Muhammed (May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) fulfilled his duty by conveying this message to his sahabah, its now for us to convey it to others.

Also in Bukhari hadith:

4.667: ------- Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: The Prophet said, "Convey (my teachings) to the people even if it were a single sentence, and tell others the stories of Bani Israel (which have been taught to you), for it is not sinful to do so. And whoever tells a lie on me intentionally, will surely take his place in the (Hell) Fire."

In the above hadith from Bukhari, Prophet Muhammad (May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) commands us to convey the message. In arabic the word for convey is baligh. That is what is tabligh. This command is for everyone. The prophet (May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) orders us to convey the message even if it were a single statement. The prophet (May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) also commands us to relate the stories of Bani Israel, and whoever says a lie about prophet Muhammad (May Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) will find his seat in the hell fire...

This Is The Day Of Reckoning - Muhammad Abdul Jabbar | Powerful Speech | HD

And When This Is Taking Place, The Mother Whose Got A Child, She On That Day Will Remember That She Had A Child, Why? Because The Sound Of The Horn, The Sound Of The Horn Is So Terrifying That You Will See Mankind Will Be On A Drunken State But In Reality Will Not Be Drunken, The Hadith Of Abu Hurairah RA Comes To Mind, He Says The Shaytan And His Army Will Begin To Run And They Will Begin To Hide, They Will Begin To Run And They Will Begin To Hide, The Quran Says: On That Day There Is No Refuge, He Will Look Above The People And What Will They See? They Will See The Sky Will Look Like The Black Filth Of Oil, It Will Crack Piece By Piece, The Earth Beneath Them, It Will Crack Piece By Piece, The Ocean Will Be On Fire That Day And They Will Explode From Their Places, Allahu Akbar Picture This In Your Mind, That The Ocean, They Will Be On Fire And They Will Explode From Their Places, The Stars Will Lose Their Shine And They Will Come Crushing Down, And There Will Be Darkness Everywhere And When There Is Darkness Everywhere, Nothing Will Remain, Every Single Thing In The Universe Will Come To An End. The Hadith Of Abu Huraira Says: That The Angel Of Death It Will Say To Allah, O Allah, All Those That Are In The Heaven And All Those Are In The Dunya They Have Come To An End Except For Thos Who You Wish To Remain Alive O Allah, Allah Will Say, Who Remains? And The Angel Will Say: O Allah, Jibrail Remains, Mikail Remains, Israfil Remains And The Angel That Are Carrying Your Throne, They Remain, Allah The Almighty Will Say: Let Death Come To Jibrail, Let Death Come To Mikail, Let Death Come To Israfil And Let Death Come To All Those Angel Who Are Carrying My Throne, Then Allah Will Say: Who Remains? Ya Allah Knows Who Remains, Allah Will Say To The Angel Of Death, Who Remains? And The Angel Will Say, O Allah: I Remain, You Remain, No One Else Remains And Then Allah Will Say, I Created You For A Purpose, You Have Fulfilled Your Purpose, You Also Die And He Will Die. And The Allah The Almighty, He Will Roll Up All The Heavens In His Hand, He Will Roll Up All The World In His Hand And Allah Will Raise His Voice And Allah Will Say: I Am The Almighty Allah, I Am The Almighty Allah, For Whom Is The Devine Rule Today, For Whom Is The Power Today, For Whom Is The Kingdom Today, I Am The King Of All Kings, Where Are Your Dictators? Where Are Your Oppressors? No One Will Answer, Allah Himself Will Answer And Allah Will Say: Power Is For Allah, Might Is For Allah, The One The Only, The Irresistible.

Now It's Time For Muhammad SAW, He Will Open The Gates Of Jannah For People Who Will Enter Jannah And People Will Enter In The Thousands, In The Millions And The Others They Will Be In The Fire Of Hell, I Pray To The Almighty Allah That Allah Makes Us From Those People Who Receive Their Records In Our Right Hand As I Pray To The Almighty Allah That Allah Forgives Me, Why? Justice Has Not Been Done To this Title.

The REAL recitation

بسم اللّٰہ الرحمٰن الرحیم

السلامُ علیکم و رحمۃ اللہ و برکاتہ

This is one of my old articles, but since it is Ramadhaan,, Alhamdulillaah, and most of us would be doing a lot of reading of the Qur'aan during this month, I thought it would be appropriate to send this article as a reminder to myself and everyone else.
May Allaah enable us to really understand the Qur'aan and apply it in our lives. Ameen.
The REAL recitation
By Asma bint Shameem
We read it for barakah.
We read it when our close ones die and when we move into a new house.
In fact some of us compete with others to see who can read quicker than everyone else and who can finish faster! Why, just this past Ramadhan, they read it 5 times over!

And yet….do we ever wonder why nothing in us has changed…..why our relationship with Allaah has not improved?

Why is it that our hearts are still unmoved……our lives still unaffected…. our souls still untouched?

But, wait a second….isn’t the Qur’aan  supposed to be a mercy and a healing for mankind?
It is. Allaah said so. And you know it.

Yet, in spite of reading the Qur’aan, we are still dealing with interest, we are still not wearing the hijaab, we are still at that same old gas station…..still selling that same old beer and lotto. We are still the same as we were a year ago…..or 5 years ago…or even ten years ago.
Ever wonder WHY……..?
Allaah says if He were to send down the Qur'aan upon a mountain, it wouldn’t be able to bear it and it would humble itself and crumble because of the fear of Allaah.
"Had We sent down this Qur'aan on a mountain, you would surely have seen it humbling itself and rending asunder out of fear of Allaah. Such are the parables that We put forward to mankind that they may reflect." [Surah al-Hashr:21]

Then what’s wrong ?? Why are we so???
Obviously, the problem is not with the Qur’aan. Actually, the problem is with us.
The problem is that we’ve never really read the Qur’aan with understanding. In fact, if we’ve ever read the Qur’aan, we’ve read it with closed eyes.

I know many people who’ve read the Qur’aan many times, cover to cover. Yet they did not understand one single word they read!
Do you think that is the purpose of sending down the Qur’aan from above the seven heavens?

"(This is a) Book that We have sent down to you, full of blessings, so that they may ponder over its aayaat, and that those of understanding may remember." [Surah Saad:29]

Sure, I know the Prophet (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa-Sallam) said that we will be rewarded for reading the Qur’aan, whether we understands it or not , but just reading it is not enough and, if you really think about it, of not much use to us, unless we understand it and implement it in our lives.
The Sahaabah  would not go beyond ten Aayaat until they had learnt them and understood the knowledge within them and implemented them in their lives.
And where are we compared to that??

When our kids are young, we lay SO much emphasis on them finishing the reading of the Qur’aan one time. When they are done, what do we do? We celebrate their ‘Ameen’ (their finishing the reading of the Qur’aan), but then what??
Where do we go from there?? Did we ask them to keep up with the reading??
Did we explain the meanings of this Glorious Book of Allaah to them??
Do they even know what it means??
And the real question is……

And then we wonder why there are so many problems in our lives…why our kids are not in our control….why there is no peace and barakah in our selves!!!!

O mankind! There has come to you a good advice from your Lord (the Qur’aan), and a healing for that in your breasts, a guidance and a mercy for the believers.” (10:57)

And then there are the ‘Huffaadh’, people who have memorized the Book of Allaah by heart, so much so that they don’t miss a single word. Yet when you look at their lives, they are far, far away from the teachings of the very Book they have memorized!

Al-Hasan al-Basree says about such Huffaadh "... one of them says, ‘I recited the whole Qur'aan and did not miss out a single letter.’ and by Allaah, he missed out the whole of the Qur'aan! No Qur'aan is seen in his character or deeds! By Allaah, these are not reciters or scholars, they are not wise nor pious. Whenever the reciters are of this type, may Allaah not increase their like amongst the people!"

Subhaan Allaah!!!!
Unless we read the Qur’aan with understanding, pondering over its Aayaat, reflecting on its true message and putting it into practice, we are missing the real essence of the purpose of sending down this Magnificent Book.
"Do they not then contemplate on the Qur'aan, or are there locks upon their hearts?" [Surah Muhammad:24]

Remember, that the true servant of Allaah never ceases from reflecting on the Book of Allaah. And there, his heart bears witness to such glorious knowledge that it increase his eemaan and strengthens it. However, this increase of eemaan does not happen unless he concentrates on understanding the Qur'aan, applying it and acting by it, as many people who read the Qur'aan will find it to be their opponent on the Day of Judgment.
The Prophet (sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa-Sallam) said:

"Verily, Allaah raises up a people with this Book and He abases others." [Muslim]
And he (Sal Allaahu Alaiyhi wa-Sallam) also said:
" the Qur’aan is either a proof for you or against you." [Muslim]

So read the Qur’aan with ease and tranquility, pondering over the words, reflecting on its meanings, and then apply it in your lives.

Don’t say to yourself….“When am I going to finish this Surah?”
Instead, ask yourself…..

“When will I start obeying the orders of Allaah contained in the Qur’aan?”
“When will I pay heed to the admonitions contained within what I just read?

The Qur’aan is not just for the Ulama. It is for everyone…..including you and me. If we are really serious about our meeting with Allaah, we need to ask ourselves these tough questions…..
Have we read and understood the Qur’aan at least once in our lifetime?
What is our age now?
Do we really know and understand the true message of this Holy Book that changed lives of so many in the past? Do we really…..???

"Has not the time come for the hearts of those who believe to be affected by Allaah's reminder (the Qur'aan) and of the Truth that has been revealed….." [al-Hadeed:16]

6 Points Of Tabligh "The reviver of iman".

The Sahaba Radiallahu anhum had many good qualities.
Our elders have extracted six such qualities which if we bring into our lives, then to follow the rest of Deen will be easy.

The first quality was the quality of Iman.
01.The kalima Lailaha Illallah Muhammadur Rasulullah, means that there is none worthy of worship but Allah and Muhammed Sallallahu alaihi wasallam is the messenger of Allah.

The Sahaba Radiallahu anhum strove in the path of Allah to strengthen their yaqeen that Allah Ta’ala does everything without the help of the creation, and the creation can do nothing without the help of Allah Ta’ala. They also strengthened their yaqeen that ONLY in following the life style of Nabi Karim Sallallahu alaihi wasallam will a person be successful. All other ways of life will bring failure to a person not only in this world but also in the grave and the hereafter. This kalima is so valuable that if a person recites it 100 times a day, his face will shine like the 14th moon. A person who revives one sunnah of Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wasallam during the time of fitnah and fasad, will get the reward of 100 shaheeds. A shaheed is that person who fought in the path of Allah Ta’ala, and before his first drop of blood touches the ground, all his sins are forgiven.
To obtain the reality of this kalima, a person must daily invite towards this kalima and he must also make dua that Allah Ta’ala places the reality of this kalima into our hearts.

The second quality which the Sahaba possessed was the quality of salaah. The first and foremost thing ordained by Allah Ta’ala after Iman was salaah, and the first thing to be reckoned for on the day of Qiyamah will be
Salaah is a means by which a person comes closer to Allah Ta’ala, and also a means of taking from the treasures of Allah Ta’ala. Allah Ta’ala will grant a person in the habit of performing his salaah on time with concentration and devotion, five favours:

1. His rizq (sustenance) will be made easy.
2. He will be safe from the punishment of the grave.
3. He will receive his book of deeds in his right hand.
4. He will cross the bridge of siraat with the speed of lightning.
5. He will enter Jannah without any reckoning.

To acquire concentration in salaah, a person must perform long rakaats of nafl salaah.
It is obligatory on every male and female to acquire the basic knowledge of Deen. One should know what is halaal and what is haraam, and must be able to distinguish between right and wrong.
If a person who is ignorant and is in the process of learning Deen has to pass away, his status will be just one below the Ambiyaa Alaihimus Salaam. The angels spread their wings under the feet of a person seeking the knowledge of Deen. The animals in the jungle, the birds in the air and the fish in the sea make dua of forgiveness for him.

03.Ilm & zikr
For the fazaail [virtues] one must participate in the taalim of the masjid and one must also make taalim at home. For the masaail we should ask the Ulama.
All the creation of Allah make the.zikr of Allah. Man who is the best of creation must also make the zikr of Allah. The one who makes the zikr of Allah is like a living person and the one who does not make the zikr of Allah is like a dead person. Zikr creates the consciousness of Allah, that Allah is all- seeing and al- hearing. A person who remembers Allah after Fajr salaah and after Asr salaah is like a person who makes zikr of Allah all day long.

Make a habit of reciting the third kalima, durood shareef and istighfaar 100 times each after the Fajr and Asr salaah. Read a portion of the Quran and the duas on the relevant occasions.

04.Ikramul muslimeen
A person who fulfills the need of a Muslim brother, Allah Ta’ala will grant him 73 rewards. 72 will be kept in the aakhirah, and with the one reward, Allah will fulfil all his needs of the world.
We must respect the elders and the Ulama and be kind to the youth. The best ikraam one can do for a person during the time of fitnah and fasaad is to guide him onto the right path.

For every act, one must check one’s intention, that it is only for the pleasure of Allah. A date given in the path of Allah for the pleasure of Allah will earn great rewards in the hereafter. On the other hand if a person gave a great sum of money for the sake of show, then he will be taken to task on the day of Qiyaamah. We must check our intentions in the beginning, in the middle and at the end of every act, thereafter make istighfaar for any shortcoming in our intentions.

06.Daawath Tableegh
The Sahaba Radiallahu anhum strove in the path of Allah Ta’ala to elevate the name of Allah. To uphold the Deen of Allah, they went through great difficulties. Some of them made their wives widows and their children orphans. There were days when some of the Sahaba had no food in their homes. During the battle of the trench, a Sahabi told Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wasallam that he was hungry for the past three days. He uncovered his stomach to show that he had a stone fastened on his stomach to keep his back upright. Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wasallam felt sorry and told him that he was also hungry for the last three or four days. Rasulullah Sallallahu alaihi wasallam showed him his stomach and told him to observe that he had two stones fastened on his belly.
Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wasallam and the Sahaba Radiallahu anhum watered the garden of Islam with their blood. Today our elders want us to sacrifice only a little of our sweat in the path of Allah. Alhamdulillah with the effort of jamaat, extemely great changes are occuring throughout the world. Hence, let us also give some time in the path of Allah to bring Deen into our lives and into the lives of the whole of mankind till the day of Qiyaamah.
